Which of your angels is teaching you the most?

Have you ever heard the expression, ‘Follow the guidance of your better angels.’

I love that affirmation of clarity and self-trust.

I am also reminded of those childhood cartoons with a character who has an angel and a devil on each shoulder trying to convince them to do something ‘good or bad.’

What does any of that have to do with your day?

Well, after almost 2 months of self-isolation, quarantine, or whatever this has been like for you, you are probably getting familiar with the proverbial angel and devil on your shoulders.

If you look at ‘pandemic’  life through the lens of Social media, most people are living in their pyjamas, eating more than usual, binge-watching tv shows and trying to stay busy or distracted – or both.

Some of us are craving attention and contact while others are hiding in the laundry room for a moment of personal space.

I hope you are finding your balance in all of that.

I hope you are learning to appreciate your angels and demons.

Given the challenges that most people are facing, we decided to do a podcast on sobriety.

I would like to introduce you to Dr, Dana Leigh Lyons. One of the smartest and most authentic people I know.

In this unexpected episode of FHR, Anthony Sanna and I get to chat with Dana about her experience with addiction and how she has become a respected sobriety expert.

If you are looking for some inspiration and guidance, or just some honest human truth about living through challenging experiences, please check out this insightful conversation.

Dana offers some great online support.

This link takes you to her sobriety kit and recovery journal.

As we all enter our second month of Social Isolation, being in relative quarantine alone, or without any chance for some personal space, it seems like a good time to learn some personal and powerful tools.

Join Anthony Sanna and Dr. Michael Smith of Autoimmune Health Solutions on a thorough exploration of exactly how people get stressed out and how to use self-awareness to shift your state, relax, and learn a lot about who you are.

As always, please subscribe, share, rate, and most importantly, let us know if there is a subject you want to see covered.

Does it work?

If so, how?

In this episode, Dr. Michael Smith takes you on a Deep-Dive into how CBD interacts with your body to decrease inflammatory reactions, reduce stress and embodied tension, regulate your neurotransmitters and stress hormones, improve sleep, and improve your health in general.

If you are new to Fusion Health Radio, check out the last podcast about Autoimmunity, Trauma, Addiction connection.

Ep: 114 – The Autoimmunity, PTSD, and Addiction Connection

If you understand a few of the physiological mechanisms of chronic illness, trauma, and addiction you will appreciate how powerful CBD can be. This episode will focus on how CBD helps with the following aspects of almost all chronic conditions.

  • Chronic inflammation
  • Stress and hormonal health
  • Neurotransmitter Imbalances

After that, I will introduce you to the endocannabinoid system, and how THC, CBD, and terpenes actually interact with your body, brain, and immune system.

Then I will share the main concerns, contraindications, and dosage.

Get ready for a deep dive geek out on why CBD is going to change the way medicine is practiced

I cannot recommend the use of CBD or THC because of licensing standards.

Do you like common sense answers for complicated problems?

I feel the same way!

In fact, it is my passion to take complex health problems and whittle them down until I find an obvious root cause

Autoimmunity has been on the rise for the last 50 years. At present, one in five people suffers from some form of Autoimmune dysfunction. One in ten has been diagnosed with PTSD and 1 in 4 will experience some aspect of addiction in their lives and 10% never recover.

Those are some scary numbers. If we keep those populations separate, that covers 60% of the people living in modern society.

In this episode, I take you on a short tour through Autoimmunity, PTSD, and Addiction. And then I use the analogy of a new doctor/patient TV show to explore some obvious and some subtle connections between all three.

Mindfulness can mean a lot of things…

I think we can all agree that it has something to do with getting to know more about your thoughts, feelings and Spiritual assumptions.

In this Solo-Cast episode, Dr. Michael Smith shares his experience with the modern practice of mindfulness.

You will learn about the Triangle of Mindfulness, the instinctual ways your attention can be hijacked, and an honest approach to cultivating awareness.
